Week 13: Virginia at Virginia Tech

Virginia Cavaliers - at Virginia Tech Hokies - /

Today the Hokies are going with last weeks helmet, orange jersey, solid white pants....can you say ugly? If you cannot, I sure as hell can.

(Helmet Only)

(Jersey and Pants Only)

(Actual Uniform)

Week 12: Virginia Tech vs Boston College

Virginia Tech Hokies - 30 at Boston College Eagles - 23 / WIN Overtime

The Hokies continued to miss perfection this week when they wore that ugly helmet. It would have been a lot better if there was stripes on the helmet, but then again, this is VT and they love being close to perfection only missing it each week by one stupid uniform piece.

Week 10: Virginia Tech at Miami

VT Hokies - 12 at Miami Hurricanes - 30 / LOSS

The Hokies are looking good tonight against a look from Miami that I have never seen. The Hokies are going Maroon-White-White.

Week 8: Virginia Tech at Clemson

Virginia Tech Hokies 17  at  Clemson Tigers 38 / LOSS

I really love the jersey and pants this week, but the helmet really needed the matching stripes.

Week 7: Duke vs Virginia Tech

Duke Blue Devils - 20  vs Virginia Tech Hokies - 41 / WIN

I just don't understand the Hokies, they have the combinations to make a beautiful uniform look on the field but every week they drop the ball. The white helmet they are wearing today is okay, but it is not has good as the white helmet with a stripe. The white pants are blah and will never be as good as the white pants with stripes. Now the jersey today is nice but it could look so much better with the right helmet and pants combo.

On a side note, Duke looks beautiful today with the Blue Helmet paired with the white jersey and pants

Week 6: Virginia Tech at North Carolina

Virginia Tech Hokies at North Carolina Tar Heels

I have read multiple sources say that UNC will have a "White-Out" at this weekend's home game. I used to hate the storm trooper looks but I am slowly getting used to them, however, if a team is going to do a white-out, do it on the road and wear the standard dark jersey when playing at home.

Week 4 - Bowling Green vs Virginia Tech

Bowling Green Falcons (0) at Virginia Tech Hokies (37) / WIN

Here is a better shot of the Hokies Camouflage uniform and by the looks of it, I HATE the uniform, but I love the reason they are wearing it.

Week 2 - Austin Peay vs VT

Austin Peay Governors 7 vs Virginia Tech Hokies 42 (WIN)

The Hokies are going all-white today with a wonderful set from the neck down. The helmet, well that is another story. It is okay, but it is not as good as this. Click HERE for a video of coverage. .

Week 1 - GT vs VT

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: 17 vs Virginia Tech Hokies: 20 / OT-WIN

First off, before I post the pictures, I want to express my opinion that the Yellow Jackets had some ugly uniforms on the field. Their new helmet is wonderful, but the rest of their look is atrocious, the honeycombs look more like bubbles and why is the nameplate colored? If there is one thing about Russell Athletics is that besides WKU, all of the uniforms are ugly.

Now onto the Hokies! I love their orange jersey, but that is about it with this look because there is no uniformity. The solid helmet with the striped jersey and solid white pants just does not look good. But then again, anything would have looked better than Georgia Tech in this game.

All in all I would say that Virginia Tech definitely looked better on the field and that Georgia Tech is on the the right path with the helmet.
